Innovation

The EBU Creative Hub for Knowledge Generation and Exchange aims to strengthen the capacity and competitiveness of bioeconomy research through co-operation of European Universities by:
- Serving as a European think tank, which acts on behalf of and can be accessed by all relevant stakeholders, both in Europe and globally
- Creating a dynamic networking and cooperation platform for the EBU and its partners from industry, policy and society, that fosters collaborations that address emerging challenges in bioeconomy
- Establishing a Knowledge Exchange Platform, to ensure the effective exchange of research findings, innovations, and best practices across sectors, helping to drive real-world applications and advancements
- Collaborating with policymakers and partners from academia and industry, via EBU’s network or the network of other institutions – such as via JRC, BIC and EIT Food KIC – to influence bioeconomy-related policies and promote an innovation-friendly regulatory environment
- Developing communication and public engagement campaigns and training that enhances the ability to effectively communicate bioeconomy concepts to the public, building societal understanding and support for sustainable practices.
- Encouraging cross-disciplinary and cross-sectoral partnerships that drive innovation, helping bridge the gap between research outputs and industrial applications to promote economic growth and sustainability in the bioeconomy sector
