EBU Welcomes New Cohort of EU Bioeconomy Youth Ambassadors
Wishing success to all 15 young changemakers! We encourage the Ambassadors to actively promote a sustainable bioeconomy through education, inspire peers, and engage with policymakers and local stakeholders. We hope the Ambassadors will achieve their goals and ambitions in contributing to the implementation of the EU Bioeconomy Strategy and motivating future generations towards the green transition.
We are happy to see four EBU-affiliated students among the new Bioeconomy Youth Ambassadors: Elena Del Pup (Wageningen University & Research), Kati Merruntaus (University of Eastern Finland), Lucie de Seguins Pazzis (AgroParisTech), and Thomas Alexander (University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU)). We inquired about their expectations and plans for the next two years, and you can find their responses on the posters below.
EBU has been collaborating with EU Bioeconomy Youth Ambassadors. For instance, representatives from the previous cohort took part in the European Bioeconomy Scientific Forums in 2023 and 2025. EBU and the Ambassadors engaged through events such as the Bioeconomy Changemakers Festival and the Global Bioeconomy Summit.
EBU looks forward to further collaboration with the new cohort.
