EBU fosters entrepreneurship for a sustainable and innovative bioeconomy

The FOEBE+ (Fostering Entrepreneurship for a sustainable and innovative BioEconomy) project has opened a new application period for 2026. We are pleased to consider applications from Master’s and PhD students interested in developing skills in the entrepreneurship and the bioeconomy sector.

The FOEBE+ provides opportunities to practically explore the innovation journey, from idea generation to developing a business model and pitching the idea. It offers opportunities to enhance soft skills, including teamwork, leadership, project management, and communication. The courses introduce various approaches to the bioeconomy across Europe. Students can benefit from guidance by an international team of bioeconomy and entrepreneurship experts and have an opportunity to explore the entrepreneurial ecosystem of their home university.

The FOEBE+ project offers an 8-module programme in a blended format, comprising both synchronous and asynchronous components, delivered face-to-face and online. These learning activities will be complemented by a mandatory full-time challenge week at the home university with the local cohort.

Students enrolled in one of these FOEBE+ project’s partner universities are eligible:

  • AgroParisTech, France
  • BOKU University, Austria
  • Warsaw University of Life Sciences, Poland
  • University of Eastern Finland, Finland
  • University of Hohenheim, Germany
