EBU at GBS 2026: Strengthening Partnerships and Connecting with the Global Bioeconomy Agenda
The European Bioeconomy University delegation’s participation in Global Bioeconomy Summit (GBS2026) in Dublin was particularly important for three reasons:
1. Strengthening global partnerships:
EBU joined the newly established Global Bioeconomy Partnership as a founding partner, marking an important step in implementing the Alliance’s Global Collaboration Framework.
2. Advancing bioeconomy education and skills development:
EBU co-organised the workshop Global Best Practices for Skills Development and Collaboration in University Bioeconomy Education to exchange international experiences and identify future priorities.
3. Connecting EBU’s activities with global bioeconomy developments:
As a university alliance dedicated to advancing bioeconomy research, education, and innovation, EBU needs to understand how bioeconomy policies, priorities, and approaches are evolving globally. GBS2026 offered a valuable opportunity to engage with international experts and stakeholders and learn about emerging global bioeconomy trends.
