Additional information
The European Bioeconomy Scientific Forum is the biannual official event of all EBU’s representatives, and the 2025 event will focus on “Boosting regional and international bioeconomy collaboration and skills”. The objective of this scientific forum is to shed light on the multi-scalar international collaboration in bioeconomy. The forum will discuss the various forms, promises, required skills, and critical success factors of such international collaboration, including sub-national, national, continental, and inter-continental levels. The event will bring together scientists, experts, policymakers, industry representatives, youth, and other stakeholders from across Europe and beyond.
Two first days of the Forum, with keynote and thematic sessions, poster exhibition, Forum Dinner, as well as innovation and youth special sections will take place at UEF’s Joensuu Campus. The third day will feature a 1-hour bus transportation to Koli, where an excursion to the Finnish National Scenery at Koli Hill will set the spirit for focused workshops diving deeper into bioeconomy collaborations and skills.
